tatami dō

tatami dō (folding or foldable) made small square or rectangular armour plates (karuta) or hexagon armour plates (kikko) connected each other chain armour (kusari) , sewn cloth backing, tatami dō made entirely kusari. tatami dou (dō) lightweight, portable, convenient transportation, , manufactured inexpensively , in great numbers ashigaru light infantry.tatami dou (dō) worn samurai classes highest class lowest class. higher class samurai wore elaborate tatami dou (dō) while lower class samurai , retainers wore plainer, simpler designs

kikko tatami dō, kikko, small hexagon iron or leather plates sewn cloth backing, kikko armour can connected each other chain armour (kusari) or threads.
kusari tatami dō, kusari, japanese chainmail, consisting of links of iron formed in wide variety of sizes , shapes, connected each other in various patterns.
