on july 3 , 4, town of finlayson lively place. city s main street packed food stands provided local churches , community groups. there live entertainment of music , local performances. on night of 4th, people can camp in large field watch county firework show.

st. urho s day finnish tradition of celebrating when st. urho chased crickets, , other vermin, out of finland. finlayson embraces finnish background celebrating st. urho s feast day on march 27. city s fire department, elementary school , community center open public day of basketball, volleyball, fried bread , friends. community center host of free pancake breakfast while fire department hosts delicious fried bread.
