the airworthy ilyushin il-2m3 of flying heritage collection, flown allison v-1710 powerplant


two flyable il-2s exist of july 2017, both restored @ novosibirsk, russia. il-2m3 first flown on 27 september 2011, following restoration retro avia tech paul allen s flying heritage collection, rebuild incorporated parts of il-2 recovered swamp near pskov flown american allison v-1710-113 f-series engine, readily-reversible rotation feature match original soviet v12 powerplant.


the second airworthy craft airframe (s/n 1872452) recovered in 2015 lake bottom near murmansk. restored same team on commission uac, flew on 16 june 2017 , part of vadim zadorozhny s collection. aircraft exhibited , flown @ maks-2017 airshow.


the surviving pre- 42 one-seater il-2 going under major refurbishment in private museum Частный музей военной техники (muzey tekhniki vadima zadorozhnogo) @ vsevolozhsk, russia , brought flying condition matching numbers engine.


a shturmovik (s/n 5612) under restoration display @ pima air & space museum, tucson, arizona.
