in 2004, stamps signed san francisco 49ers undrafted free agent. following release 49ers, stamps spent time on practice squads both baltimore ravens , jacksonville jaguars.

fred stamps decided sign edmonton eskimos of canadian football league. in 2007 cfl season stamps played in 9 games (he missed 5 games because of appendectomy surgery). following year fred stamps played in 14 games amassing 751 receiving yards , 6 touchdowns. in 2009 cfl season played 18 games , recorded 1,402 yards , 8 touchdowns. in 2010 stamps once again suffered injury time injuring shoulder. missed 4 games still had great year statistically, collecting 1,223 yards , 5 touchdowns. stamps added third consecutive 1,000 yard season in 2011 campaign, amassing 1,153 yards , 8 touchdowns on 82 receptions; despite missing couple of weeks because of serious injury testicles. in off-season eskimos traded away franchise qb ricky ray. stamps played in 18 games of regular season , finished 2nd in receiving yards 1,310 , 4th in receiving tds 9. stamps lead league in receiving yards in 2013 season 1,259 yards.
