in may 2006, thirteen years after last performance guns n roses, stradlin made guest appearance @ band s show @ hammerstein ballroom in new york; played on patience , think , , nightrain . performed guns n roses 13 shows during band s summer european tour. stradlin said, axl [rose] , connected via cell phone year, stopped by. nice reconnect old friend/war buddy/fellow musician. told him later d join fun in way , said welcome come , play something, did! took me 3 weeks recover 6 weeks of touring! in december, played 3 shows group @ gibson amphitheatre in universal city, california.


stradlin released seventh album, miami, through itunes in may 2007. again featured rick richards, taz bentley, , jt longoria, keyboardist joey huffman. guitarist richards described album being bit of departure dog still quite rocker. in july, remixed version of miami released through itunes; stradlin called new mix louder , more powerful sounding. in november of year, released second itunes-only album, fire, acoustic album, featured richards, bentley, , longoria.


stradlin s next itunes release, concrete, came out in july 2008. in addition regular collaborators, stradlin invited duff mckagan play bass on 3 songs, including title track. stradlin released 2 more albums through itunes: smoke, came out in december 2009, , wave of heat, followed in july 2010 , again featured mckagan, appears on 7 tracks. in 2010, stradlin appeared guest on slash s first solo album, slash; performs rhythm guitar on first track, ghost .
