there 18 tornadoes reported in u.s. in march; however, 19 confirmed.


march 18

a strong upper level system moist south southeast flow produced severe weather, including several tornadoes injured 10 people altogether, across southern united states, tennessee, alabama, , georgia. ef1 tornado near boaz, alabama destroyed 2 mobile homes , overturned another, injuring 3 people. ef2 tornado struck kilpatrick, alabama, causing significant damage several mobile homes , destroying 2 others. 7 people injured tornado.


march 21 (australia)

during afternoon evening of 21 march severe thunderstorms spawned 7 tornadoes in northeastern victoria. towns of yarrawonga, bundalong, mulwala, rutherglen, koonoomoo , cobram hardest hit. in mulwala, denison county caravan park damaged. eighty people injured, 2 men airlifted melbourne in critical conditions.


march 22 (bangladesh)

on march 22, deadly tornado took place in brahmanbaria district of bangladesh. tornado struck 20 villages along 8 kilometres (5.0 mi), traveling @ speed of 70 kilometres per hour (43 mph) killing 31 people , injured approximately 500. worst damage occurred in bijoynagar , akhaura, brahmanbaria sadar upazilas of district. thousands of trees , utility poles toppled , thousands of peoples left homeless. tornado disrupted both train , road communication, interrupted rescue operations. part of jail house of district collapsed, resulting in death of 1 guard. many crops, consisting of rice, damaged well. both prime minister sheikh hasina , opposition leader khaleda zia visited impacted areas meet affected people , distribute relief.

on march 21, powerful storms large hail , tornado hit daoxian , fujian provinces in china. 24 people killed, 11 of them on ferry capsized, , 148 injured storms. tornado moved across marshland on island of mindanao in southern philippines on march 27. passed near overloaded boat triggering panic caused boat capsize, killing 12. boat had capacity of 10 carrying 18.
