the competition has been split 2 stages, regular season , playoffs.


regular season

each of 16 competitors in superliga hosts every other team once in regular season, total of 30 matches. win earns 3 points , draw earns 1 point. teams ranked total points, total wins , goal difference, number of scored goals, number of away goals , number of away wins. if teams still level, test-match played in 2 legs determine final order in standings. playoff phase played march may.


championship playoff

the point system in championship playoff same during regular season, except each team starts half of points won in regular season, rounded nearest integer.


the top 8 teams regular season enter championship playoff, first-placed team winning championship of serbia. each team plays opponents once. in case of tie, number of points won in regular season used primary tie-breaker.


relegation playoff

teams ranked 9 16 after regular season enter relegation playoffs, last 2 placed teams relegated serbian first league. each team plays opponents once.
