baruva village located near sompeta in srikakulam district, andhra pradesh, india. located @ 18.53n 84.35e.,[1] @ average elevation of 10 meters (36 feet). mahendratanaya river merges bay of bengal @ place. baruva used seaport in era of british colonial rule in india 1948. in july 1917 ship carrying goods sank in sea. commemorate incident pillar constructed.[2] harbor closed, old lighthouse stood until 2000. light house has been constructed next beach resort. baruva s beach 1 of oldest in andhra pradesh.
