however, 2 models hardware compatible, can use same games/cartridges, both have volume , contrast controls , use same lcd screen. also, both have external dc power supply 3.5 mm minijack plug; however, plug not labeled such, , function hinted @ in units manuals. gameking requires 3v dc, while gameking2 requires 4.5v dc peculiarity of needing keep @ least 1 battery in unit in order have sound , backlighting.
