generally, kinner houses have storerooms keeping grain , dried fruits, , separate wooden grain-storage structures, called kathar. pakpa, piece of sheepskin or yakskin, placed on khayarcha mat. traditionally kinners use utensils made of brass , bronze. modern influences have included introduction of chinese crockery, , utensils made of stainless steel , aluminium. clothes of wool. thepang, grey woollen cap, worn white velvet band. tibetan chhuba, long woollen coat resembles achkan, worn well, sleeveless woollen jacket. while men wear woollen churidhar pajamas, , tailored woollen shirts such chamn kurti, women wrap in dohru. first wrap of dohru based on back, embroidered borders displayed throughout length, stretches heels. darker shades of colours preferred dohru, although other beautifully coloured shawls may worn, draped on shoulders. choli, type of full sleeved blouse worn women, may serve decorative lining well. kinners classified 2 castes: lower , upper caste. again both of these categories divided sub classes. caste system more prevalent in lower , middle kinnaur regions
