this remarkable , dramatic calvary. central crucifix 12 metres high , flanked 2 10 metres high crosses bearing , bad murderer. @ foot of these 3 crosses depictions of 5 people; st longinus, pierced jesus in side lance, mary mother of james , joseph, kneeling mary magdalene, john evangelist, , sainte mary, mother of jesus christ. crosses , attendant figures positioned on pedestal decorated bas-relief depicting saint yves , below inscribed vere hic homo filius dei erat/en gwirione den ze e ca mab doue/cet homme etait vraiment le fils du dieu . ( man son of god ), words in latin, breton, , french spoken according saint mark gospel roman centurion @ golgotha (see mark 15:39). in bas-relief, saint yves relief flanked coat of arms of pope pius x (right) , of pierre-marie-frédéric fallières, bishop of saint-brieuc , tréguier (left). monument inaugurated on 19 may 1904 in presence of cardinal labouré. calvary surrounded gated fence. statues on either side of gate depict saint maurice , saint george whilst other pillars support statues of saint malo, saint paterne, saint brieuc, saint pol (de léon), saint corentin, saint samson , saint tugdual, 7 founder saints of brittany.
