early career

luxemburgo started noticed top tier coach when led bragantino, modest team countryside, title of 1990 campeonato paulista (são paulo state championship). gave him enough visibility hired palmeiras in série a. in 1993 , 1994 led palmeiras win both são paulo state , brazilian championships. when left in 1995, palmeiras performance visibly affected , when came in 1996 team won são paulo state championship again.

on 21 february 2012, announced luxemburgo taking charge of grêmio foot-ball porto alegrense until 31 december 2012. on 29 april 2013, after getting involved in fight in game between grêmio , huachipato libertadores cup, luxemburgo suspended 6 games in competition.

on 29 june 2013, luxemburgo dismissed directors of grêmio.
